Mandy’s tribe is where you'll find information about EXTRA DIRTY - a dance party that has redefined the gay club scene in Australia. Appealing to Sydney's gay leather/fetish/rubber crew, Extra Dirty is an inclusive event. You don't need to be into the leather scene to be into Extra Dirty. All tribes are welcome.
Proudly born and bred in Sydney's gay underground, Extra Dirty is one of Sydney's most renowned club nights. The seeds of Extra Dirty were sown in 2001 when Mandy Rollins and Feisty joined forces to create Crash, a weekly club night held in Sydney's infamous sweatbox Phoenix. In 2005 Crash evolved into Dirty and with a desire to take the concept bigger Rollins and Feisty launched Extra Dirty in October 2008. Held just a few times a year and featuring a stellar line-up of Australia's best DJs and an exclusive headlining international DJ/Producer, tickets to EXTRA DIRTY have become the most sought after in town. With a music policy that is deep and dirty this is indisputably Sydney's hottest dance-floor.
(1968 - 2010)
DJ and Party Producer Mandy Rollins remains the co-creator and inspiration for mandystribe. Sadly we lost the head of our tribe in September 2010.
Producing what are now regarded as Sydney’s hottest parties within the gay scene, Mandy had a career spanning more than 14 years, first as a DJ and then as producer of Sydney’s infamous DIRTY and EXTRA DIRTY parties.
Her underground house sounds dominated the Sydney scene with DJ residencies and events including the unique, intimate underground venue Phoenix (Crash, Dirty), the internationally famous Hellfire Club, Inquisition, Mardi Gras Parties, and Sleaze Ball. Mandy is the undisputed queen of Sydney’s underground clubbing community. She created her own distinct movement in the Australian dance music community. Her unforgettable sets have been heard in the most respected and desirable clubs around Australia and Internationally.
Since her arrival in 1996 to Sydney’s Sleaze Ball, Mandy cut her teeth at the men’s only leather bar, The Barracks, earning her stripes amongst the sexy, masculine leather community and playing the bulk of this community’s major parties.
After so many years immersed in Sydney's gay sub-culture, Mandy turned her valuable talents and experience to promoting forward-thinking and dynamic events, including the now internationally renowned EXTRA DIRTY parties which have rapidly grown both in size and reputation.
Mandy Rollins will remain the inspiration behind all of our events.
* Thanks to the support of our tribe, Extra Dirty is able to make a generous annual donation to the Black Dog Institute to further research into the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mood disorders such as Depression.
EXTRA DIRTY is now produced by co-promoter Mel "Feisty" Fitzpatrick along with the support of Michelle Ferris, Paul McDonald, Tim Childs and the many other loyal members of the tribe who will ensure that Mandy's vision continues long into the future.
